About the University

Welcome to Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (formerly Kano University of Science and Technology) a Kano state government-owned university. The university is located in Wudil, Kano state. The university commenced academic activities in the year 2001 and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Historical background

The University was formerly known as Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil. The university is ranked 123rd in the list of Best Universities in Nigeria. The then governor of Kano state, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso proposed establishing the university during his first tenure. The university was renamed to Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, in 2022

University Faculties

The University started with two faculties, the Faculty of Agriculture and Agriculture Technology and the Faculty of Science. It has now grown into six faculties which includes The Faculty of Agriculture and Agriculture Technology(FAAT), Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Science(FACMS), Faculty of Earth and Environmental Science(FAEES), Faculty Of Engineering (FAENG), Faculty Of Science (FASCI) Faculty of Science and Technical Education (FASTE).

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST) Wudil aims to be an international center of excellence, fostering knowledge and innovation in science and technology through high-quality education and research to drive regional development. Vision To be an international center of excellence in science and technology education and research. .


Mission:

To advance knowledge through innovation and excellence in science and technology education. To conduct research that addresses local and global challenges in areas like environmental science, engineering, and biotechnology. To foster collaboration and networking with other research organizations and institutions both locally and internationally to enhance capabilities and impact.
