Committed to producing top-tier automotive engineering professionals equipped with strong foundations in modern technologies, vehicle systems integration, and industrial best practices.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The Department of Automotive Engineering has recognized the following educational objectives of the B.Eng. Automotive programme to support the programme’s mission and that of the University. To ensure continuous relevance of the graduates to the industry and academia, the programme educational objectives are reviewed every 5 years together with the programme curriculum. Graduates are expected to accomplish the following objectives within the five (5) years of graduation from the University:

  • PEO1: Professional practice — Engage in professional engineering practice and contribute to national and global technological advancement in automotive engineering and related fields.
  • PEO2: Lifelong learning and innovation — Pursue lifelong learning through graduate studies, professional development programs, certifications, and self-driven innovation.
  • PEO3: Problem solving and sustainability — Apply engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and sustainable solutions to address technical, industrial, and societal challenges.
  • PEO4: Leadership & ethical standards — Assume leadership roles in industry, academia, business, and public service while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • PEO5: Entrepreneurship and economic development — Utilize engineering knowledge to develop entrepreneurial ventures, create employment opportunities, and contribute to national economic growth.

Programme Outcomes (POs) — COREN Compliance Matrix

Programme Outcomes detail what students are expected to know and be able to do by graduation, aligning technical proficiencies with rigorous engineering standards.

PO No. Programme Outcome (PO) Description
PO1 Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering fundamentals and specialized automotive engineering knowledge to develop solutions to complex engineering problems.
