INTRODUCTION

The office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration is under the office of the Vice-Chancellor and it assists the Vice-Chancellor to render administrative and other functions as assigned.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Students' Welfare

The office recorded remarkable improvements in the area of student's welfare:

  • The University campus enjoys constant power and water supply.
  • Indigent students who could not pay the registration fees were assisted. Some philanthropists were contacted for assistance and all the fees in respect of such students were settled. The University management appreciates the kind gesture of these eminent philanthropists toward the indigent students.

Staff Welfare

Outstanding entitlements of staff such as hazard allows for non-teaching) und research grant (for teaching staff) were etled This ensured a harmonious and peaceful working condition during the year in review.
The office produced the Academic Year Planner for 2019/2020

Staff Development

  • The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration. Prof. Tijani Sale Bichi. was awarded a fellowship by the Renewable and Alternative Energy society of Nigeria REASON on 25`` July, 2019.
  • The Senior Assistant Registrar, Mukhtar Umar Yola, attended a Conference, title: Improving Productivity and Efficiency through Workplace Emotional Intelligence in August, 2019 in Lagos. It was organized by Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
  • The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Tijjani Saleh Bichi. attended an International Conference, titled: Train the Trainers Course on Multipurpose Irradiation Centre as Component of Centre for Nuclear Science and Technology in Russia in November, 2019.
  • The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Tijjani Saleh Bichi, attended a conference, titled: ``Safe School Lessons Learned from Recent Security Breaches in Educational Institutions`` organized in conjunction with Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Federal Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corps and FCT Department of Quality Assurance in 2019 Abuja, Nigeria.
