INFORMATION RESOURCES AND
Information resources in the KUST library consist of
textbooks, journals, magazines, newspapers, government documents,
unpublished materials such as students projects, dissertation and thesis,
reference materials and electronic resources that have been acquired in
various fields that are core and pertinent to the mandate of the university
in training and advancing knowledge in Science and Technology.

The KUST Library like any other
Academic library provides services ranging from Circulation, Reference and
Information Services, Photocopying, Current Awareness Services, Access to
E-resources and Services, etc. Detailed instruction and participation in
teaching of “Use of the Library, Study Skills and Information and
Communication Technology” is also provided by the library staff to
undergraduates as part of the General Studies programme of the University.
As part of its commitment to join
the e-world, the library has deployed the” NewGen” Library Management
Software to automate its resources and services. The Library also has plans
for the retrospective conversion of its manual catalogue records and also to
link the Library with the world via Internet.
